Hello blog readers!  Like it says above, I’m currently a graduate student at Pitt, having just started my program in the Fall of 2010.  I’m enjoying it so far, mostly because I am a self-proclaimed nerd and love being back in school.

I don’t know how to introduce myself other than through a big paragraph of randomness, so here goes…

My family and friends mean the world to me, and I spend as much time as I can with them.  I’m an exercise fiend and really into organic and healthy eating, but my biggest weakness is candy (any kind, but Mike and Ike’s are the absolute best).  On that same token I love cooking and baking in my free time, and also in my not-so-free time as a procrastination tool, and I have secret aspirations to become a chef or baker.  I’m also a reality TV junkie (Survivor, anyone?), and will forever mourn the fact that Lost ended after only 6 seasons.  Despite my penchant for tasteless television, I’m a big reader of the classics, and Jane Austen/the Bronte’s are my happy place.  As it comes with the territory of being raised in this area, I am unabashedly a huge Pittsburgh sports fan.  I even follow the Pirates.  There is much more to say, but hopefully you’ll find out more of who I am through reading the blog!
